When the Moloney girls emailed me, Elise from Afghanistan, and Lauren from Texas asking for cake when they came home, I couldn't resist........they wanted 1 cake that would recognize several events they were celebrating on one day. I was asked to combine Doug's first Communion with Stevie's 13th birthday who LOVES his pet parakeet with these 2 girls coming home to see their mom. Elise, after 9 months in Afghanistan, Lauren, getting through her tech school like Sarah. All I could think is "how in the %&$& am I going to make a cake to combine all of these events??"
